These necklaces are a traditional piece of jewelry from Afghanistan and long enough to be worn over a hijab...and thus very nice for a larger woman's neckline!
All of my Afghani pieces are bought for me by a dear Afghani friend, he buys these items all over Afghanistan, he buys vintage pieces at open markets and buys newly made items from local artisans.
Many of these pieces are vintage and all are hand made and not "perfect" to western standards... but more beautiful for their little "flaws"
